How does mapping appear in the works we have looked at so far in class? In the first paragraph of your response, describe how Diana Taylor references mapping in her article, “Remapping Genre through Performance,” and in the second paragraph explain how mapping is used in Chasing Mehserle.

In addition to your written response, we would also like you to draw your own map! Based on the ideas of mapping we’ve been discussing in class, draw a map of a daily route or routine in your life. Please take a photo of your map and post along with your response.

Remember the guidelines for the reading responses from the syllabus:

These are short response posts of 2-3 paragraphs, between 300 and 500 words. The responses will have prompts provided on Friday afternoons by 5:00pm and will be due on Wednesday before the class lecture at 10:00am. The posts will be shared with others in your discussion section, and are considered an extension of the objectives of the course at the discretion of session instructors. Three points are possible for each response, 1 point for submitting the assignment, 2 points for a developed and on-point response, and 3 points for an especially insightful, well-considered and integrated critique of the readings.
This is theater course but also american culture.
